TH400 Pan Gasket



PICTURE 1
Picture 1 shows the difference in the output shafts of the varied
TH400 transmissions you may come across.


The shortest of the shafts are for the Chevrolet 203 transfer case.
This is commonly refered to as a 6 inch output shaft.
This shaft is shown installed in Picture 2.

In Picture 3 you can see the 7 inch shaft installed in a TH400 transmission.
This shaft is used for round bolt pattern 205 and 208 transfercases.

Picture 4 shows the tallest or 9 inch shaft as installed in a TH400 transmission.
This is made for the Chevrolet 205 short input.
This is also the same configuration for 2-wheel drive short shaft car or truck.
